The risk:reward (risk-to-reward ratio) has on analytical or predictive value, so its information doesn’t endorse any particular outcome. However, its calculation must be made by each trader to decide whether a trade satisfies the dictates of his or her Trading Plan. The calculation compares the currently available entry price, individually against the trade’s stop (risk), and then also against its expected target (reward).
